| The heart of our investing philosophy is to provide investors independent and objective investment advisory services that enhance the financial returns of our clients when risk is in our favor. Our investment philosophy understands the varying levels of risk that investors are willing to take, and we endeavor to provide the safety essential for capital preservation and still participate in capital appreciation when the markets meet our risk tolerance levels. | ||
| Our market risk analysis does not attempt to avoid risk (which is impossible). Our job is to control risk by understanding at what level risk is present in the markets. We then determine the appropriate actions to take in each portfolio based on the level of risk present in the markets. | ||

Clausen Capital Management has developed an extensive understanding of risk management capabilities based on manager experience and our proprietary technical analysis systems. We have dedicated significant time and resources to create state-of-the-art risk management processes, which have been back tested and time tested. |

| Biography: George E. Clausen | ||
| George E. Clausen, Founder and President of Clausen Capital Management, has been providing investment and 401K advisory services since 1999. Clausen Capital Management (CCM) was founded in 2002. | ||
| George earned his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 1975. Upon graduating, he was commissioned into the United States Navy and assigned to Fighter Squadron Eleven as a Radar Intercept Officer flying carrier-based F-4 Phantoms. He completed his Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in 1981. | ||
| Starting in 1981, George worked for IBM as a Major Account Manager where he honed his skills in marketing and customer management. In 1994, he joined First Union National Bank, where he provided systems consulting and project management. | ||
| It was during his employment with FUNB that George began to understand the need for a better way to manage investments. Learning from his experiences with market volatility and the poor performance records of many money managers, he started to develop a new investment management process, one based on technical market analysis and measuring market risk. This defining discovery would become the foundation for Clausen Capital Management. | ||
| Over the next five years, George continued to learn more on technical analysis as he took over management of his own investments and started managing investments for others. He also began providing 401K Advisory Services to participants of the First Union 401K. | ||
| In 2002, George established Clausen Capital Management, earned his NASD Series 65 License, and incorporated in the State of North Carolina. | ||
| George currently works closely with a wide range of clients to provide a high level of professional service - including retirees, professionals, high net worth individuals, and people just starting their investment programs. | ||
